-Abstract: The advances in technology, coupled with the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ongoing digital and green transitions have resulted in massive changes in industries. Across the globe, many countries and companies are grappling with economic transitions, and the rising demand for reskilling and upskilling the workforce to give them the new skills and training to thrive in the fourth industrial revolution. At both policy and corporate levels, this will require a rethinking of education, and the development of innovation ecosystems.
In this seminar, KAIST KPC4IR invites Prof. Goh Puay Guan from the National University of Singapore to discuss about digital disruption, the future of work, and Singapore’s approach to education and innovation. He will discuss recent developments in Singapore’s academia and innovation ecosystem, and how Singapore’s experience might provide insights for other countries that are undergoing rapid technological transitions.
