Effective governance is critical to maximizing the potential and minimizing the risks of emerging technologies in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
The era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution requires a fundamental shift in the way innovation ecosystems are organized to foster responsible development and adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, precision medicine, IoT among others. This is critical- especially considering the need to maximize the potentials of these emerging technologies as well as mitigating against the high stakes risks and social harm they pose to society and humanity. The Center seeks to address emerging technology policy and governance questions that we need to resolve in order to shape the responsible development and adoption of emerging technological innovations. We also explore how responsible governance and leadership can mitigate risks and uncertainty accompanying this era of unprecedented digital transformation.
